We are about to experience a school year that no one has envisioned. I want to give my students a creative outlet by daily journaling to express themselves openly and safely. I have curated a safe place for my students. This safe place will encourage them to enjoy reading and writing by imagining themselves in their writing and through the texts we read. Studies have shown that students are more likely to engage with curriculum when they are able to express themselves openly and without judgement. The students will be able to see themselves everywhere inside our classroom.
