These materials are primarily for the development of sensory, fine motor, and art skills. Since my students were fully online last year, they were not given as many chances to use their hands to paint, build, and explore. I would use these tools to create excitement, creativity, and hands-on discovery. My school is currently undergoing an action plan to become STEAM certified by summer 2022. That will allow us to purchase more science and art materials. Until then, I don’t want my students to miss out on the joys of creating.
