We are a culturally, socially, and economically diverse population of preK(4) through 5th grade students. 62% of our students are considered economically at risk. The students are engaging, curious, creative, and enthusiastic about learning. Students are inquirers, encouraged to ask questions and then pursue the answers to those questions. Students participate in hands on, interactive, experiential lessons with real life applications. Students are tolerant and respectful of their differences between each other. The school itself is located in a rural, agricultural community located in Florida. Families choose to come to this school from the community, and surrounding suburbia of a metropolitan city. Selection is made through a lottery process conducted by the public school system.
