So many students say they aren't a reader. I always remind them that they just haven't found a book that passionately draws them in and changes their mind. By receiving these materials, my students will have the ability to hear an incredible story based on the horrific historical events of September 11, 2001.
Many low academic performing students never finish a book. By reading this together to kick off the beginning of the school year, we will be able to model how to pace reading, make meaning of the text through deep conversations, and see that reading is truly for everyone.
