My students are going to be jumping into something new this year, a crafting class! Crafting is a fun way to relax and be creative. My class is called Creative Design and is an elective class, so I will get new students every nine weeks.
The students will use Cricut Design Space to create their own designs for a wooden circle wreath and their own personal water bottles that they may take home afterward! Crafting will get their creative juices flowing by having them make something out of nothing and, hopefully, give them a new hobby that can be carried on at home!
When these students are done with each project, they will have created a masterpiece that will give them something to be proud of. Since my students are always thinking of others, I know they will want to make something that others can enjoy, which is why I chose a wreath. The wreath will be hung on their home’s door for their entire family and neighborhood to enjoy. The water bottle will be a creation that is for them to enjoy because they all deserve to treat themselves. These projects will make my students, who many have very little, feel like they have the whole world because they will have a lot to be proud of!
