This first-year first-grade teacher longs to offer her students the library of their dreams! First grade is where a lot of reading magic happens and I want to start the year off strong with my students. Students are entering a new school year with many unknowns, but I want them to feel at home in our classroom library. This project covers the space of the library, but most importantly, the books to fill it! My students' reading levels range and I want to be sure to have as many diverse books. After all, books should be like mirrors for children to see themselves and like windows to understand those that are different.

About my class
