With today's technology, teachers need more tricks to engage students. Students enjoy using whiteboards in math. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear. The preprinted whiteboards and mats allow my algebra students to focus on graphing and solving the problem instead of using valuable time to draw the coordinate planes. The graphing calculator is a great tool for students to check their understanding of graphing and advance to the next level. As our district moves to being paperless, students still need to do some math work on paper. The ink will help me provide students with supplemental materials that they can sit and work out.
