Last year we had NO TABLES in my classroom due to protocols. This was great for some students and activities, but not for all. All students however, complained that their bottoms would hurt if they sat down for too long.
This year the plan is to GO HYBRID FLEXIBLE. Since two thirds of my students used flexible floor seating last year and 1 third of my students used whatever they had at home, I want my classroom to accommodate all learners while providing comfort and a larger hard work surface to those who choose to work on the floor.
