Technology in education is more essential now than ever due to the current situation with Covid-19. Last year, every student in our building received a Chromebook. Our district utilized a Hybrid-module for the majority of the year. However, we were forced to resort to remote learning several times as well. Google Classroom became our new "Best Friend". In addition to Google Classroom, my second graders used their Chromebooks for online learning games, Zearn for math lessons, Accelerated Reader, Flipgrid, Generation Genius for science lessons, Word Wall for vocabulary, and the list goes on and on. The majority of my second graders had a difficult time using the touchpad to complete assignments. Students with underdeveloped fine motor skills were at more of a disadvantage.
A wireless mouse will help the children complete the online activities more efficiently and will eliminate a lot of frustration! The headphones will be very beneficial as well. Allowing students to work at their own pace and on their own level will enhance learning and allow students to excel!
