My school district is finally back to full time in school learning. This is the first time back in the library since COVID started. In order to help my students increase their social emotional learning and interactions with peers it is important that they feel safe and have access to materials where they can interact with their peers.
I am requesting a variety of board games like Sorry and Uno, creative and sensory toys, such as Play Dough, crayons, pencils and stress balls, as well as a variety of individual wrapped snacks that the students can use after we complete our literacy book activity of the day and reconnect with their peers.
All these materials will allow my students to get the chance to interact with each other and get back to normal. In order to be active learners they need activities they can look forward to using. The materials are great to work on cooperative group interactions while having fun. These materials will allow my students this opportunity which is so greatly needed after not being able to play or interact with their peers as a result of COVID.
Please help me increase their social and emotional skills by having access to these games, stress toys and snacks.
