These items are essential in a pre-k classroom. Children love to feel comfortable & important. I want them to come into our classroom each day with a sense of ownership over their environment. It's a place for us to learn how to be our best and how to take care of our world.
A new gathering carpet and literacy table will brighten up our classroom and enhance our daily learning experiences.
The carpet has a circle for each student. This will help children identify their personal space. In addition, the sitting circles will be used each morning to play a math transition game. The table & chairs will add learning space options to our library & writing areas. The label pockets help children identify where things go after using different materials. So, instead of taping 4x6 pictures of materials/items and never changing them...I can simply change the picture inside the pocket as I rotate learning materials through the school year.
