We have a lot of transmissions and heavy parts on shelves to tear into and learn how they work in our automotive program. A manual table-lift would be great to be able to take transmissions from the workbench and put them back on the shelves. The table lift will also help with getting the transmissions or other heavy items from the shelves and to the work area for students to learn hands-on. Students and instructor will be less at risk of injury with moving parts for learning lab activities and more students will be able to participate.
Manual mobile post-lift tables have support posts that allow their platform to be raised or lowered. They have more open space below their platform than scissor-lift tables and are used for transferring and positioning dies and other large, heavy parts in manufacturing, repair, assembly, and other industrial tasks. The tables' hydraulic lifting mechanism is controlled with a foot pump, and they have brakes or floor locks that can be engaged to prevent the tables from moving unexpectedly.
