Many studies have shown evidence for the role classrooms play in learning. Students that study in a positive learning environment have been shown to be more motivated, inspired, and overall more engaged. My current classroom lacks the resources I need to inspire my students. One student asked me "when do you think we can spice up the room with some aviation furniture or even some planes to hang up? I would love to come in the room and feel like I'm a pilot already in the skies." I want my students to walk in to my room and be immersed in aviation. I want them to feel like pilots and be inspired.
These are young high school students taking college level aviation courses and I want them to continually be reminded of where their hard work will get them, but I can't do that without you!
The student's will benefit from these resources by having "aviation" décor throughout the classroom which will encourage learning more about aviation and flying. These items in the classroom will transform not only their learning desire, but the atmosphere for everyone that walks into the classroom.
Goals for our project from donations:
-Improve and increase student attention and focus
-Ultimately help to increase their academic achievement
-Creative visualization
