Headphones are becoming more and more an essential school supply. We are a 1:1 device school, but headphones are not provided. Access to headphones throughout the school day is vital in a 1:1 classroom/school.
To focus on their own individualized work, especially students who are learning to read, headphones for each student are a necessity. The students have access to many programs to enhance their personalized learning, but often need to hear the video, explanation, instructions, or the words read to them off of the screen as they are developing reading and math skills. Headphones will allow students to complete work at their own pace while improving listening skills.
