I teach handwork skills to first through eight grade. My students are learning how to knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, hand sewing and also use sewing machines, weaving, bookmaking, building a lamp and much more. Using these materials that I need will help my students deepen their relationship with their handwork skills. Our school doesn't use any technology and so I read books, sing songs and tell stories to help deepen the relationship for the what we are doing in the classroom and make connections with the greater world.
