My students will use TI-Nspire calculators to explore statistics. The knowledge they develop will help them be able to analyze real-life situations and see the value in studying data rather than just consuming information that is shared. Statistics is one of the most widely used fields of math as it can be seen in most every professional field. It supports students in thinking strategically and considering a context for all of its nuance. These calculators will allow me to give my students more opportunities to "play" with the math topics being learned and see more value in their application.
