Having a variety of fun toys available in my classroom will allow me to teach my students about vocabulary, language, and important early concepts in an engaging and motivating way.
Play is a child's job, and being able to engage a child in play is the easiest way to teach new language concepts. I currently use a lot of paper based activities which are not always engaging to my younger students especially those on the autism spectrum. I would love the ability to teach my students in a way that makes them excited to come to the speech therapy classroom.
