When I walked into my classroom, I realized that there isn't really anything in here to truly engage my students who receive Special Education Services. The power pens will bridge gaps created by covid in their Literacy and mathematics as they work towards IEP goals. The power pens will create a more engaging experience for literacy and math skills. The beanbag chair will give my students a safe place. One child will come into my room if he is frustrated in his Gen Ed class and hide under the table. I want to have the beanbag chair and posters for my students can calm down and discuss how they are feeling. This project will greatly increase my ability to meet the needs of my students and increase their ability to access the curriculum in the classroom.
