With the help of your generous donation, I plan on building a math station with the table and stools where I can work with students on intervention and extension tasks to help better understand the seventh grade core content. A specific unit of study in seventh grade where students struggle is surface area and volume. I will be using the Magna-Tiles to give kids hands-on connections to the topic and to enrich their learning with STEM-related building projects.
Math is said to be a universal language, yet so many students struggle in this content area. It is imperative that my students have developed the skills needed to build their math language as they move on to the upper grades and, for some, post secondary education.
I realize there are a lot of projects that you could choose to donate to. I truly appreciate you taking the time to consider mine. Whether you choose my project to donate to or another project, thank you for investing in the future of our youth.
