I work in a great school, with a great staff, with great kids, but in a low socioeconomic area with a high level of English Language Learners. The students I service are hungry to learn, but don't have the resources available to support them in this. Most of them don't even have books at home to read when they leave school. One of my students wrote a letter to her mom to convince her to take her to library of all places in the world! She just wants books and most definitely needs them!
