My kindergarteners are busy little learners who love practicing their reading and math skills. For some this is the first time they step into a school setting, thus making them excited to learn and be at school. Therefore, our little hands need lots of practice and opportunities to touch and feel our learning to help us master new skills. Having hands on manipulatives will help students be able to develop a greater understanding of the material by providing an interactive visual to use. From partner work, small groups, whole class, and individual work, these tools will serve an important role in aiding students in their reading and math content knowledge and understanding.
