I have a wonderful group of fourth graders who all come from struggling homes. They LLOOVVEE non-fiction. They devour it and can't wait for more. When I bring in a new book there is a rush to have the book in their hands. They love learning about different cultures, countries, habitats and animals. Their current favorite is 'Dirty Jobs' after the popular TV series. They are often running over to me exclaiming, "Look what I learned in this book!" I have a good amount of fictional stories but really lack in non-fiction literature. Thank you for considering my classroom for this opportunity.
