I teach 4 classes of Algebra and 3 classes of Marketing. The math students are not Advanced Placement so they come to me often with weak foundations in math and I have to start the year grounding them in basics so they can move forward and not be frustrated.
My marketing students are all ages and grades in high school. They take the class as an elective but most know from prior students that they WILL gain skills in finance, advertising, managing a business, creating business plans, salesmanship and more. I spent over 20 years in marketing before teaching so I am able to bring REAL WORLD experience to them.
My hope is that every student I have a hand in instructing will go forward in life with the skills needed to succeed in life. That includes building character as well as learning.
Possible evidence of my success is in so many graduates staying in touch with me to let me know their successes. I'm proud!
