96% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. We are a Title I, Renaissance school. Many of our students eat processed foods and do not eat enough fruits and vegetables to supplement a healthy diet. This project would not only encourage students to apply scientific processing skills but healthy eating habits as well. Many students have an interest in cooking and serving their own food. We would also like to invite our parents to come and join us as a family healthy eating event.
