I have the exciting opportunity to work with twenty-four, enthusiastic fourth grade learners everyday at in an urban school in Alaska. Learners in my classroom represent all learning levels including bilingual and special needs. My students are fortunate to begin each day using technology to work on assignments that meet individual learning needs. While using these computers provided opportunities to support learning, I am looking to extend learning using mini iPads and two wireless, color printers to increase learning in ubiquitous places whether local or global. Providing real world learning opportunities for these digital natives equates to a successful future in our society. Integrating mobile technology throughout the curriculum provides students valuable, real world learning experiences and an extension to the work done in the classroom. My students are very motivated to learn with technology.
