This project will benefit all three 2nd grade classrooms at our school. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classrooms that we strive to create. Our classroom libraries are a place that students really enjoy. Every student book that is placed in our classrooms is treated with love and care, and students are thankful for the opportunities to read.
All of these books have been chosen with our students in mind-focusing both on books that are appropriate for their reading level and feature diverse characters. Each book is a part of a different series helping to support students with their study of character development and traits. With these new books, our students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help our students grow stronger in reading. Our students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
