My 24, kindergarten students come from a vibrant and diverse urban neighborhood nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania. In my classroom, there are a total of five different languages represented. Many of my students come from broken homes, who are poverty stricken and who are just struggling to make ends meet. Despite these set backs, my students come eager to learn each and every day.
My goal as a kindergarten teacher and a first year teacher is to provide a comfortable environment conducive to learning, growing, and maturing intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. My students never cease to amaze me. Their energy and creativity inspire me to be the best teacher I can be in order to provide them with the tools and skills they need to cultivate their own garden of knowledge.
