Our 6th grade team is looking for opportunities to promote an increased acceptance of all. During this turbulent time, it is important to promote love, compassion, respect, and appreciation for all. The best way to achieve this goal is to educate and discuss differences with appreciation. The literature sets that we have requested are great examples of characters that are different than our community. Our students will compare and contrast these novels and widen their perspectives of cultures. In addition, these books have themes of resilience, loyalty, community, and acceptance.

About my class
