A classroom library is one of the most important parts of a classroom. A classroom library gives students the independence and freedom to choose what books they read for the week. They have independent reading time everyday where they get to get lost in and explore new books.
As their teacher, I strive to help my students develop a love for reading. In developing this love, it's important that students have access to books that fit their interests as well as their reading levels. Being a first year teacher, our library isn't as full as most; especially in the lower levels. Nothing improves reading more than simply reading. By giving my students books at their reading level, they will be able to continue improving their reading skills.
