We are high poverty, high needs high school. Most of my students came to the US as refugees and immigrants. They are from various countries such as Burma, Iraq, Mexico, Somalia, Ethiopia, Syria, Cambodia, , Vietnam, and Thailand. Many of them are ethnic minorities learning the English language. My primary goal is to give them exposure to a variety of high interest, relevant reading material.

About my class
