Our school recently added Wi-Fi. Last year, I integrated technology in a variety of ways such as using the apps, Socrative Student, SAT QOTD, and Quizlet to enhance the learning of students. The reactions from students were so positive that I set a goal this year to make technology a priority in my classroom.
Unfortunately, not all of our students have individual electronic devices; therefore, I brainstormed ways to engage students in learning through the use of the HD TV using the Apple TV device.
My greatest difficulty is creating unique learning experiences for my classes that have students with disabilities. I have many students with dysgraphia (difficulty with writing), which makes copying assignments very challenging. Oftentimes, they do not complete assignments or they become so overwhelmed with the writing tasks that they give up. Through HD TV & Apple TV, I could use apps from my IPad to minimize writing and provide students a variety of ways to show their learning.
