Classroom Chromebooks will help improve my students excel in their learning goals, by providing them valuable access to computers, access they cannot get elsewhere. In addition, these Chromebooks represent the opportunity for all my students to effectively acquire a foreign language. At the same time, students will become more informed, engaged, and capable of navigating and communicating within an interconnected world, where access to, and use of information are oftentimes the most valuable assets. Access to more computers, will mean that more students will have improved access to technology and the resources necessary to succeed in a 21st century classroom. Chromebooks will allow students to access free Google resources like Google Classroom, Drive, Documents, Slides,and Sheets. Students will be able to engage in enhanced project research and create interactive videos, timelines, and infographics, helping them to acquire global awareness, appreciation of other cultures, respect for diversity, a commitment to justice, and empathy for others. Because of this technology and the opportunities it presents, students will leave their class with positive, confident attitudes and skills imperative to living responsibly in today’s multicultural, interdependent world.
