These materials will allow my students to build a multitude of designs that spark their interest and lead to innovative and creative thinking! Every child deserves the ability to engage in meaningful learning through hands-on and minds-on activities. It creates an environment of learners that will lead us into the future and will last a lifetime!
For example, I have several students that use whatever materials they find to build house, roads, castles, skyscrapers, and rocket ships just to name a few. By using Legos and building blocks they can "see" projects come to life and work together as a community of engineers to make new ingenious designs.
In addition, by having a variety of artistic outlets like the painting easel, paints, paint brushes, design your own smocks, a puppet theater, puppets, and a kitchen, students can engage in pretend play and use their imagination. They can use the paints not only for art but to build and make backdrops or props for imaginative play and performance.
The sensory tray and material are an important part of any Kindergarten experience. This is a fun and interactive way to find letters, numbers, and an abundance of activities that revolve around sensory play. It makes learning exciting!
