My school is a very inviting place to be. We try to make everyone feel welcome. I think this shows by the amount of kids that want to come to school and learn.
I have 20 kindergarteners, 16 of them are ESOL. My class is very energetic and love to learn. With that said, I have to keep them moving. We are mostly together as a whole group on my rug. The kids sit for a short amount of time and then I have them up moving around to music that pertains to the lesson. When we are not together as a whole group, the class is working in separate groups. My independent group is located on the rug in my classroom. When the students are working independently they like to lay and sit around reading books on the rug.
