I teach in a low SES area. Most of our students have parents that are both working, or they live in a single parent home where they hardly see their parent. We also have many foster students at our school. The children enjoy learning new things and participating in new activities. For some, however, they cannot afford to be involved in extra curricular activities that require payment. That means their only activity time occurs at school.
