Last year during Covid teaching, my painting students used laptops to watch assigned tutorials on the different types of paintings we were working on at the time. I found that this was a great tool because when I demonstrate the skill, it’s done. I can’t undo my canvas and do it again if a student needed to see it again. With the videos they were able to rewind as many times as they needed to learn a particular skill AND students could work at their own pace. As we all know, not all students work and comprehend the same way. Now that we are going back to traditional learning, I am trying to create a way that each student can still have that flexibility of pacing and enhanced practice utilizing an electronic device.
