My wish is to create a classroom library with young adult books, fiction and non-fiction, including some books in Portuguese and Spanish to support literacy in both languages for Newcomer English language Learners. Non-fiction content will be chosen to match content in English Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. This year each teacher in our school is responsible for providing a classroom library of books available to their students, many of whom have little access to books in their homes. This project will be a go-to source of building literacy through the love of reading. Books For Me!
