I teach a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) class to nearly 400 elementary school students. In the classroom, my students are learning about different career fields that exist pertaining to STEAM and are honing skills used to be successful in future educational and professional careers. Some of those skills include problem-solving, viewing failures as learning experiences, and working collaboratively with others. The students in my classroom are creative, hard-working individuals who work collaboratively to meet every STEAM class challenge with great imagination and determination.
