We are a Title I school in Naples, FL. Our school consists of +/- 80% economically needy students. We are a diverse school, with many second language learners and an autism unit. We have many students with limited background knowledge on the material being taught, and limited vocabulary. Having access to an e-reader like the NOOK, would allow these students to quickly access new vocabulary, with no shame, and no excuses. Literally having the definition right at their finger tips. They would also have the ability to take notes and highlight pertinent information, or even things they have questions about. All kids can benefit from this, and it would prepare them for the world of today.
