The partnership between home and school is necessary for extended learning and student success. This is why creating a time where families can read together will bridge our school to home connections.
Reading is one of the most important life skills for students to master; however, family time is important too.
By having a classroom set of books, students can bring them home to read with their families. This will not only improve their reading skills, but it will create a family of readers.
These books would benefit both parents and students in the learning process, and create a partnership between home and school. It will improve reading skills, create lifelong learners and readers, and teach that there is more to life than the world we live in. These books will keep students and families engaged and their minds active, which will encourage not only reading, but family discussions.
