The materials in this project will create the foundation for a science library in the classroom. There will be a mix of books for students to check-out: memoirs, comics, art books, fiction, mysteries, and more!
Our classroom library will extend classroom learning and give students an opportunity to think about science in a different context, be inspired by another person's story, or get lost in the art of science. This foundational library will continue to grow each year with recommended titles for middle-level grades as well as books students recommend to me.
The students will have access to the library before and after school, during class when work is complete, and during lunch. There will be a checkout system to keep student accountable for the books outside of the classroom.
