The way we communicate in school with younger children most is through story books. Lots of them have different animals as the characters and represent many similar themes. My students need books to learn from that we will read together as a class, as well as books that they can keep in their own book box to read and explore independently.
My classroom needs books with characters that are realistic, humans, and look like them! Theses books also provide various lessons and themes for my students to learn about and reflect on. These books will be used in my classroom to teach: lessons about friendship, feelings, how to write stories, about history and much more!
