My students need STEAM Bins (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to develop their critical intellectual skills. With STEAM bins in the classroom, students can increase their problem-solving skills.
STEAM bins will be used across the curriculum, as I can give my students, challenges inspired by literacy, science, social studies, and math components. These STEAM bins will open endless possibilities for students to complete challenges by manipulating a variety of materials.
These STEAM materials will also provide meaningful, hands-on, and open-ended work for students to use as they come into the classroom in the morning. Students can also use STEAM bins when their regular classwork is complete. Instead of giving "busy" work, students will be engaged in creative, collaborative, and complex tasks and will be encouraged to think like inventors!
