With new tables and seating options my students will be able to conveniently analyze and discuss important historical concepts, collaborate, and create projects. New tables and chairs, instead of traditional student desks, will lead to an easy way to teach and demonstrate collaborative skills that students will need in their future. Students will learn how to discuss and respect other people’s ideas and opinions. They will also learn strategies to efficiently work together for a common goal. Traditional seating does not lead to an effective classroom environment in which group work and collaboration are main goals. Students will demonstrate effective communication strategies in their future work and life experiences. Grouped seating arrangements with new work stations will help provide students with the important strategies they will need in the future.
