My classroom is filled with bright and capable first graders from a small city in Washington State. Our wonderful public school is focused on helping our students reach their full academic potential while paying attention to the social and emotional development of each child. The young children in my classroom are cooperative and happy. They enjoy imaginary play, various sports, reading silly stories, making puppets and playing games. Students come to school each day bringing with them a positive attitude, a drive to do their personal best, and a genuine love of learning. This particular group of children impresses me with their kindness to one another and their drive to be smart readers, writers, scientists and mathematicians.
