My students are curious, smart, and dedicated. Every day, they come to class prepared to participate and eager to engage in rigorous academic learning. My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, with over 50% of my students receiving free lunch. The students who attend my school speak a number of different languages including Arabic, Amharic, Tagalog, and Spanish. Many of my students are English Language Learners. I serve 24 students in my classroom with 17 girls and 15 boys. Of these 32 students, half are English Language Learners.
