This Donors Choose Project will support building a classroom library that is full of diverse stories. I am a first year third grade teacher! I'm working on building my classroom's library from scratch.
My goal is to create a library that is filled with stories that my students can connect with - stories that resemble their own experiences and represent the experiences of others - which will support my students to grow into readers who love books. Our strong classroom library will be a living example of what my students can do and who they can become. The stories they write throughout their third grade year will join the work of the outstanding authors in our library, showing that they are valuable, their stories matter, and they can do anything they put their minds to.
This project will also help fund a beautiful rug for our classroom which will provide a calm and upbeat community space for daily lessons and meetings where we can thrive in our learning!
Thank you so much for considering donating to students and teachers - we are beyond grateful for you! With your financial and moral support, you communicate that you believe in us and are helping to make our essential work possible. Thank you!
