These flex seating options will give my after school students the opportunity to feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed. When students first come to my room, they are allowed to come in and choose what activity they would like to participate in. They can also choose to come in and just relax until it's time for academics and enrichment classes. My goal is to meet their current social and emotional needs.
