This school year I have 28 English Language Learners. I teach in a Title-One school where families come from a low-socioeconomic backgrounds and where the majority of students come from Spanish speaking homes. They are amazing, smart, energetic students and they love to come to school to learn. This school year funds have been very low especially since our Override did not pass last school year. We are limited in funds, supplies and equipment for our classrooms. Students in a Pre-K-2nd grade Classroom setting, always love a special area to go to sit and learn in a whole group setting. This school year with the limited funds in the classrooms, we do not have the classroom carpet and the students have noticed that since day one.
