I am a kindergarten teacher in St. Petersburg, FL. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and include many students who speak English as a second language and students who are enrolled in Exceptional Student Education programs. I believe that teaching my young students is a great privilege. I am invited into my students lives and given the opportunity to help them grow as readers, writers, scientists, mathematicians, citizens, and friends. I am deeply committed to meeting my students' educational and emotional needs. Our classroom is a "sunny and bright" place where everyone is free to think, speak, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn. Creating a safe, happy place for my students to learn and grow is my top priority.
